When I think back to the first week of this program I remember when we read the article speaking on the difficulties engineers and scientists have with IDR. I scoffed to myself believing I was a special exception to this ludicrous statement. Now that I have participated in IDR, it is ridiculously difficult and I wish I was more creative in my thinking to complete this project.The link below shows how I feel daily lol.

This is a space where UIUC SPI participants in the Summer 2013 Research Methods and Writing Seminar engage each other as researchers, intellectuals and members of a cross disciplinary knowledge producing community.
I sometimes feel that IDR would be a better topic for a post-doctoral institute than pre-doctoral. It is a supreme challenge, one that might be of more appropriate level for people who are already experts and who know academia.
